Every system is planned around your structure and local conditions, with the goal of following recognized industry standards such as NFPA 780.
Air terminals
Slim lightning rods placed along ridges, around chimneys, and at roof corners so a strike has a preferred point to attach.
Conductors & bonding
Main conductors routed along roof lines and down the sides of the home, bonded to nearby metal like gutters, vents, and antennas.
Grounding
Ground rods or other electrodes designed for your soil, from Gulf Coast clay to Hill Country limestone.
Surge protection
Surge protective devices at the electrical panel and, where needed, on phone, cable, and data lines.
Who it's for
Any home can be protected, but some are more exposed than others: two-story homes, homes on hilltops or open land, homes near open water, and homes with tall chimneys or complex rooflines. Many homeowners also want protection simply to reduce the risk of fire and damage to the electronics and appliances they rely on every day.
New construction or existing home
The easiest time to install is during construction, when conductors can be concealed inside walls and attics. For existing homes, conductors are routed neatly along roof edges, corners, and downspouts. A roof replacement is also a good time to add or update a system.
Designed around your home
Every home is different, so we design the layout for your roof shape, height, materials, and soil. Our goal is for systems to follow recognized industry standards such as NFPA 780, the standard for the installation of lightning protection systems.

Do lightning rods attract lightning to my home?
No. Lightning rods don't make a strike more likely. They provide a safe path for lightning current to reach the ground if your home is struck.
Will lightning rods look out of place on my house?
Modern air terminals are slim, and conductors can be routed along existing roof lines and downspouts or concealed during construction. We'll walk through placement with you.
Do I need surge protection if I install lightning rods?
Yes. Lightning rods protect the structure from a direct strike; surge protection helps protect wiring and electronics from surges, including those caused by nearby strikes.
Can you install a system on a metal or tile roof?
Yes. We use mounting methods suited to the roofing material, including metal, tile, slate, and composition shingles.
