Serving churches and houses of worship across Texas

What's Included

What church lightning protection includes

Every system is planned around your structure and local conditions, with the goal of following recognized industry standards such as NFPA 780.

Steeples & bell towers

Air terminals and conductors for the tallest point on the building, with the cross or finial bonded into the system.

Sanctuary & fellowship halls

Conductors routed along roof lines, corners, and downspouts across the sanctuary, education wings, and fellowship hall.

Grounding

Grounding designed for the soil under your building, from Blackland Prairie clay to West Texas caliche.

Sound, lighting & electronics

Surge protection for the electrical service and for sound, lighting, streaming, and HVAC controls.

Why churches are exposed

A steeple or bell tower is often the tallest thing in the neighborhood, and in a small Texas town it may be the tallest thing for miles. Many sanctuaries also have tall wood framing, large attics, and organs, sound systems, and other equipment that would be hard to replace.

Historic sanctuaries

Older stone, brick, and wood churches call for a light touch. We plan conductor paths along existing lines such as corners, trim, and downspouts, use fasteners suited to the masonry or roofing, and talk through placement with your building committee before we start. If the building has a historic designation, let us know early so the work can fit any review requirements.

Working with your congregation

We schedule roof work around services, weddings, and funerals, and we keep the site clean while we're there. When we're done, we walk your building committee or facilities volunteer through the system so you know what you have. Our goal is for every system to follow recognized industry standards such as NFPA 780.

FAQ

Church Lightning Protection FAQ

Does a steeple need lightning protection?

A steeple is usually the highest point on the building and often in the area, which makes it one of the most exposed parts of a church. It's a good place to start the conversation.

Can you protect a historic church without changing how it looks?

We route conductors along existing lines such as corners, trim, and downspouts and choose fasteners suited to the building's materials, so the system stays as discreet as possible. We'll walk through placement with you first.

Can you work around our worship schedule?

Yes. We plan roof and exterior work around services and events and coordinate access with your staff or building committee.

Do you protect the whole church campus?

We can. Sanctuaries, education buildings, fellowship halls, gyms, and parsonages can all be planned together, along with surge protection for sound and media equipment.
